Overview


The primary purpose of this role is to assist SEA’s risk team in their day-to-day operations of identifying, measuring and reporting financial and operational risk arising from our wholesale and retail energy portfolios.


In this role, you will be involved with the following:


  • Regular risk reporting and monitoring of SEA’s energy portfolio position within established risk limits (market and credit);
  • Maintaining our ETRM system – trade confirmations, forward curves, limits, counterparties etc;
  • Provide wholesale energy market analysis and advice as required to wider business;
  • Communicate outputs and advice both verbally and through written reports;
  • High level assistance and advice to the VP Risk and VP Trading, on key projects; particularly Wholesale and Sales analysis and reporting;
  • Risk measurement calculations – market risk, credit risk;
  • Updating and development of risk management policies and processes.

To be successful in this role, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:


  • University/Masters degree – specialising in maths, statistics, engineering, science, finance, economics;
  • Efficiency in SQL and Python;
  • Strong analytical and mathematics skills;
  • Strong communication and written ability;
